CB Brian Kelly to Visit New York Giants Today:  According to various press reports, unrestricted free agent Brian Kelly (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) will visit the Giants today.  The 32-year old Kelly has played 10 seasons in Tampa.  Kelly visited the Detroit Lions yesterday.

Signing Elsewhere:  A couple of players who the Giants were supposedly interested in have signed with other teams.  WR Javon Walker, who was released by the Denver Broncos, signed with the Oakland Raiders.  Unrestricted free agent CB Jason Webster (Buffalo Bills) signed with the New England Patriots.  As far as is known, neither visited the Giants.

New Deal for Coughlin May Be Announced Today:  The New York Post is reporting that Head Coach Tom Coughlin’s new contract may be announced today.  The deal is expected to be in the 4-year, $20-21 million range.

QB Eli Manning is glad Coughlin will remain the Giants’ coach.  “We came in the same year.  He (traded for) me, and we’ve had our ups and downs.  One thing a quarterback and a head coach share is you get too much blame after a loss and too much credit after a win.  We both understand that.  But we have a great relationship.  We understand each other.  I’m excited for him that he’s going to be our coach for a long time, and we’re looking forward to it.  It’s a tribute to hard work.”
