Giants Close to Re-Signing PK Lawrence Tynes: The Journal News is reporting that the Giants have re-signed PK Lawrence Tynes, who was set to be an unrestricted free agent, to a 5-year, $7 million contract.
However, The Star-Ledger, The Daily News, and Newsday are reporting that the deal is not actually finalized yet. All three papers do say the new deal is close and the financial parameters are in the 5-year, $7 million range.
“We’re working on it,” said Tynes’ agent. “There’s still some work to be done…We’re getting closer.”
