October 19, 2009 New York Giants Injury Report: RT Kareem McKenzie suffered a groin injury against the Saints on Sunday. “He seemed to be doing better,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “I’m not going to be able to tell you anything until I see what – even Wednesday. But he seems to be doing a little better…There wasn’t as much bleeding as there could have been and something to that nature. Strain, tear, I’m not sure what the word is.”

WR Mario Manningham hurt his back and ribs against the Saints. “We won’t know until Wednesday, I don’t think,” said Coughlin about Manningham. “But I’m hoping that he is going to be fine.”

CB Aaron Ross (hamstring) said his leg is feeling much better and wanted to run yesterday, but team doctors would not let him. “Apparently they didn’t feel I was ready,” Ross said.

DT Chris Canty (calf) said his injury feels better than it has in weeks and that swelling is no longer an issue. “This is the best the calf has felt since I injured it,” Canty said, “so I’m definitely excited about it.” But Coughlin sounded more pessimistic. “I don’t think he will be able to do anything this week at all,” said Coughlin. “Right now he is listed as ‘out’ for Wednesday.”

The Star-Ledger is reporting that LB Michael Boley (knee) said he would be out a couple more weeks.
