September 14, 2009 New York Giants Injury Report – Latest News on Nicks and Ware: The MRI taken on WR Hakeem Nicks’ injured foot yesterday revealed that there was no damage to the Lis Franc joint. Lis Franc injuries are quite serious and could have put much, if not all, of Nicks’ season in doubt.

Head Coach Tom Coughlin said both Nicks and HB Danny Ware (dislocated elbow) would likely miss at least two weeks of action and then be week-to-week after that.

The news on CB Aaron Ross (hamstring) is not encouraging. “I’m praying and hoping not,” responded Ross when he was asked if surgery was an option. “Myself or the doctor didn’t expect it to last this long. I thought I was going to be back for Game 1. Now I’m probably going to have to sit out Game 2. Very frustrating.”

CB Kevin Dockery (hamstring) was more optimistic. “I think I’ll be back (this week),” Dockery said. “I’m feeling good in my recovery; I’ve progressed more than I have.”
