Update on New York Giants 2006 Draft Pick Signings: According to today’s New York Post, 4th round draft pick DT Barry Cofield remains the only 2006 NFL Draft pick of the Giants signed. However, the paper reports that LB Gerris Wilkinson (3rd round) is close to a 4-year contract that should be completed as early as today. The Post says it is believed that LT Guy Whimper (another 4th rounder), S/CB Charlie Peprah (5th round), and CB Gerrick McPhearson (7th round) will be signed before camp starts. DE Mathias Kiwanuka (1st round) and WR Sinorice Moss (2nd round) could take longer. “It’s the same story every year,” General Manager Ernie Accorsi said. “If someone’s not there when it starts, they’ll be there shortly after it starts.”
