Giants Re-Sign Terrell Thomas, Justin Tryon, and Michael Coe: The Giants have re-signed unrestricted free agent cornerbacks Terrell Thomas, Justin Tryon, and Michael Coe.

Thomas’ contract is reportedly a 4-year, $28.4 million deal that includes a $6 million option bonus next offseason if the Giants decide to pick up the final three years of the contract. According to The Star-Ledger, the first year of the contract includes $1 million in base salary, a $1 million signing bonus, a $1 million roster bonus, and $1.75 million in playing-time incentives.

“I definitely wanted to come back here – this is home for me,” said Thomas. “Coming off an injury, it’s better to come back to the same team – you know the personnel and the staff and they know you. You know the defense. My first choice was here, but I did open my eyes a little bit to free agency in case the Giants didn’t re-sign me. So I’m happy to be back.

“The talks started immediately. They told me right when the Super Bowl was over they’d start talking about a contract and that’s exactly what happened. They went back and forth with my agent, as any contract negotiation would. I think we agreed on the numbers by Saturday night or Sunday morning. Then it was just going over some language in the contract.

“My knee feels great. I’m sprinting – almost – backpedaling, cutting, jumping, lunging, doing all that stuff. So now the fun starts in the rehab process, which is opening up to everything.

“There’s no rush for me. I’m proven here. They know who I am and what I can do on the field. There’s no rush for me to get out on the field. My biggest thing is to let my knee heal 100 percent and come training camp and the season I have no setbacks or missed practices because of swelling. But I’ll definitely get out there and maybe do some individual drills.

“The silver lining in getting hurt so early is that I have a full year to get my knee back. At the same time, signing back with the same team and being a proven starter, they’re not anxious to get me out there to see what I can do. It’s going to be a slow-developing thing. As I’ve said all along, I’ll be ready for Week 1.”

Giants Add Tight End and Offensive Lineman: The Giants have signed street free agents TE Larry Donnell and OT Joel Reinders.

Free Agent Rumblings: According to press reports, unrestricted free agent TE Martellus Bennett (Dallas Cowboys) arrived in the NY/NJ area last night and he is expected to meet with the team today.

DE Justin Tuck things there is a chance that unrestricted free agent HB Brandon Jacobs could re-sign with the Giants after being cut by the team. “I hear it’s still a chance that he might end up being back,” said Tuck. “And you cross your fingers about that.” The New York Post is reporting that Jacobs met with Head Coach Tom Coughlin yesterday.

Unrestricted free agent CB Aaron Ross will visit the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday.

Unrestricted free agent CB David Carr is receiving interest from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

David Baas and David Diehl Re-Structure: According to press report, both OC David Baas and OT David Diehl have agreed on re-structured contracts that will help the Giants create more immediate cap room at the cost of future cap hits.

The new contract for Baas converts $2.1 million of his $3 million 2012 base salary into a signing bonus, creating $1.575 million in additional cap room this year.

Diehl’s re-structured contract lowers his 2012 base salary from $4.2 million to $1.2 million, creating $1.5 million in additional cap room this year.
