New York Giants Work Out Linebackers: The Giants worked out a number of linebackers yesterday with the goal of replacing the roster spot void created by the season-ending knee injury to Jonathan Goff. Two linebackers who worked out included former Giants Kawika Mitchell (2007) and Chase Blackburn (2005-10).
“I feel great,’’ said Blackburn. “Ready to get back to work, I know that. Been waiting too long.”
September 7, 2011 New York Giants Injury Report: Not practicing yesterday were DE Osi Umenyiora (knee), LB Jonathan Goff (knee), CB Prince Amukamara (foot), WR Ramses Barden (PUP – ankle), and OC Adam Koets (PUP – knee).
