October 20, 2008 New York Giants Injury Report: The Giants don’t know if LB Antonio Pierce, who missed the game against the 49ers with a quad injury, will be able to practice on Wednesday. “We are going to have to see,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “He is getting better, it is kind of a day-to-day, small gains, but nevertheless he is getting better and we will see. I can’t tell you right now what is going to come of that.”

Injured in the game against the 49ers were WR Plaxico Burress (finger), LT David Diehl (sore back), HB Ahmad Bradshaw (sore back), and DE Mathias Kiwanuka (infection in his thumb).

LB Gerris Wilkinson, who also missed the 49ers game with a knee injury, says he hopes to begin running today.
