Eli Manning Organizes Passing Camp: With the NFL labor dispute and lockout still ongoing and Giants’ players not able to utilize team facilities, QB Eli Manning organized an impromptu passing game workout at a Hoboken, New Jersey high school yesterday. About a dozen players attended according to press reports, including Manning, QB Sage Rosenfels, WR Hakeem Nicks, WR Ramses Barden, WR Duke Calhoun, WR Victor Cruz, WR Michael Clayton, WR Samuel Giguere, TE Kevin Boss, and HB D.J. Ware.

“It definitely can’t hurt,” said Boss. “Just to kind of get out there and hear the terminology again and work on the timing with Eli, it’s definitely something that’s going to help down the road. If you go too long without hearing plays called, you’ll forget things. So it’s nice to get back out there and hear everything again.”

Kevin Boss on the Mend: TE Kevin Boss, who is recovering from offseason arthroscopic hip surgery, said yesterday he is healing well.

“I’ve been rehabbing, and that’s pretty much been my whole offseason, trying to get back to 100%,” said Boss. “With the way the lockout has gone on, it’s been nice because I’ve been able to work with a hip specialist so I can get this thing 100% before we get back to work.”

“I’m still not cleared to go 100% yet, but I’m out there doing what I can,” said Boss of his involvement in QB Eli Manning’s unofficial passing camp. “I’m just a couple weeks away from being able to go full speed.”
