Perry Fewell Safe?: With the 49ers, Panthers, Browns, and Broncos naming new head coaches, it appears that Defensive Coordinator Perry Fewell will return to the Giants in 2011. All four of the aforementioned teams had interviewed Fewell for their head coaching vacancies.

The Raiders still have a head coaching vacancy but they have not reportedly expressed interest in Fewell.

Giants Sign Two More Players, Bringing Total to 13: The Giants have signed two more players to reserve/future contracts: QB Ryan Perrilloux and S/CB Cary Harris. Per earlier “News and Notes” updates, the Giants had already signed 11 other players to reserve/future contracts.

Perrilloux played this season for the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League (UFL). His head coach was former Giants’ Quarterback Coach Chris Palmer. In eight games, Perrilloux completed 33 of 69 passes for 394 yards, two touchdowns, and no interceptions. There is a good article from September on Perrilloux on NFL.Fanhouse.com.

“He’s a very talented kid,” said Palmer of Perrilloux. “He has a strong arm and reminds me of Tony Romo.” Palmer coached Romo in Dallas.

Harris was originally drafted in the 6th round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills. He spent time on both the Bills’ Practice Squad and 53-man roster his rookie season. He ended up playing in four games in 2009, with one start at safety, and intercepted two passes. Harris played in two games in 2010, but the Bills waived him in October 2010 and he spent time on the Vikings’ and Bengals’ practice squads after.
