New York Giants Sign Seven to the Practice Squad: The Giants have signed the following players to the Practice Squad:
- QB Rhett Bomar
- TE Bear Pascoe
- TE Jake Ballard
- OC Jim Cordle
- DT Nate Collins
- CB Seth Williams
- S Sha’reff Rashad
All seven players were with the Giants in training camp. The Giants have room to sign one more player to the 8-man Practice Squad.
Practice Squad players do not count towards the roster limit, but they may be free to sign with any team at any point. The only players eligible for the Practice Squad are those who do not have an accrued season of free agency credit or who were on the active/inactive list for less than nine regular-season games during their only accrued season(s). A player cannot participate on the Practice Squad for more than three seasons. If another club signs a Practice Squad player to its 53 man roster, it does not have to provide any sort of compensation to the player’s former club.
Andre Brown Claimed by Denver: HB Andre Brown, who was waived by the Giants on Saturday, was claimed off of waivers by the Denver Broncos.
Jerome Johnson Claimed by Arizona: FB Jerome Johnson, who was waived by the Giants on Saturday, was claimed off of waivers by the Arizona Cardinals.
Scott Chandler Joins Cowboys: TE Scott Chandler, who was waived by the Giants on Saturday, was signed by the Dallas Cowboys to their Practice Squad.
