Giants’ Beat Writer Practice Reports: The following are brief practice reports provided by the NY/NJ beat writers who cover the Giants:
Injury Report – Wilkinson Practices: Not practicing yesterday were WR Plaxico Burress (ankle), WR Steve Smith (groin), WR Mario Manningham (quad), WR David Tyree (knee – PUP), RG Chris Snee (shoulder), RT Shane Olivea, and CB Sam Madison (sports hernia).
LB Gerris Wilkinson was removed from the Physically-Unable-to-Perform List and he practiced (on a limited basis) for the first time in training camp yesterday. The Giants say he will not play on Thursday against the Lions however.
Burress continues did some light running on the sidelines for the second day in a row.
Ahmad Bradshaw Confirms He Will Spend Another 30 Days in Jail: HB Ahmad Bradshaw addressed the reporters yesterday, the first time he has done so since it was learned that he was in jail in Abingdon, VA in June and July for a 28-day stint due to a parole violation. Bradshaw confirmed that he will have to spend another 30 days in jail after the upcoming season in order to complete the sentence.
According to Bradshaw, the parole violations were his arrest for underage drinking and resisting arrest in 2004 and his conviction of petty larceny after allegedly stealing a video game system from a fellow student while enrolled at Marshall in 2006.
Bradshaw’s original offense occurred when he was 15 years old and a juvenile. What that offense was is still not publicly known.
