JUNE 5, 2025 NEW YORK GIANTS OTA PRACTICE REPORT…
The Giants held their sixth voluntary organized team activity (OTA) practice on Thursday, and second one open to the media. No live contact is permitted during OTAs, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are allowed.
The four remaining OTA practices will be held on June 9-10 and June 12-13. A mandatory mini-camp will also be held June 17-19.
INJURIES AND ABSENTEES…
WR Malik Nabers (toe), LT Andrew Thomas (foot), LG Jon Runyan (ankle), RG Greg Van Roten (unknown), DT Dexter Lawrence (elbow), DT Darius Alexander (unknown), ILB Bobby Okereke (unknown), and CB Deonte Banks (unknown) did not practice.
PRACTICE NOTES…

- As usual for OTAs, the Giants were in helmets, light pads, and shorts.
- In 7-on-7 drills, Jaxson Dart was the second-team quarterback behind Russell Wilson.
- During the initial drills, Russell Wilson was 2-of-4, Jaxson Dart was 2-of-3, and Jameis Winston was 2-of-3 with a long, 40-yard touchdown to WR Darius Slayton. Tommy DeVito was 0-of-2.
- Wilson’s first two passes were to WR Jalin Hyatt on a slant, and then to TE Theo Johnson.
- Roy Robertson-Harris started for Dexter Lawrence on the defensive line along with Rakeem Nunez-Roches.
- Cor’Dale Flott was with the first unit at cornerback in place of Deonte Banks for both 7-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills.
- The second-team cornerbacks were Tre Hawkins and Art Green.
- Darius Muasau started at inside linebacker for Bobby Okereke. He had a “sack.” So did fellow inside linebacker Chris Board.
- Evan Neal worked with the first-team at left guard and Jake Kubas worked with the first-team at right guard. James Hudson continued to be the first-team left tackle with John Michael Schmitz at center and Jermaine Eluemunor at right tackle.
- The second-team offensive line was manned by LT Stone Forsythe, LG Josh Ezeudu, OC Austin Schlottmann, RG Austin Stinnie, and RT Marcus Mbow.
- In 11-on-11 drills, Jaxson Dart again was the second-team quarterback. He initially went 0-of-3 with two pass breakups at the line, an interception, and a sack.
- OLB Abdul Carter “sacked” Jameis Winston on a rollout. Carter did not just line up outside, but inside as well.
- WR Darius Slayton caught another long bomb, this one from QB Russell Wilson, beating CB Cor’Dale Flott.
- In 11-on-11 drills, S Dane Belton picked off a pass over the middle from QB Russell Wilson. It was Belton’s third interception of the spring.
- Working with the third-team, QB Jaxson Dart threw a pass that was deflected by a wide receiver and intercepted by S Makari Paige. Dart connected with TE Theo Johnson for a big gain.
- CB Tre Hawkins also had a leaping interception along the sideline during team drills on a back-shoulder throw to WR Da’Quan Felton from QB Jaxson Dart.
- OLB Brian Burns had two “sacks” and batted down a pass; OLB Kayvon Thibodeaux would have also have had a “sack.”
- Getting good heat on the quarterback were DL/OLB Chauncey Gholston, OLB Trace Ford, DL Elijah Garcia, and DL Jordon Riley.
- Cornerbacks Cor’Dale Flott and O’Donnell Fortune broke up passes.
- WR Da’Quan Felton made a one-handed catch on a slant pass.
- In 11-on-11, team drills, Russell Wilson finished 10-of-14 with one touchdown, one interception, and two sacks. Jaxson Dart was 5-of-9 with two interceptions and a sack. Jameis Winston was 4-of-8 with two runs. Tommy DeVito was 2-of-3.
- Practice ended after a fight involving OLBs Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux against OTs James Hudson and Jermaine Eluemunor.
