January 9, 2012 New York Giants Injury Report: CB Aaron Ross and HB D.J. Ware may have suffered concussions against the Atlanta Falcons and are undergoing further testing.

“Ross and Danny Ware are going through the process in regards to concussions,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “They actually felt pretty good at the conclusion of the game when we did see them in the locker room and I hope that pans out going throughout the protocol for clearance to practice this week.”

Coughlin was asked if Ross in fact suffered a concussion. Coughlin responded, “We are conducting the medical treatment as if it was a concussion.”

However, The Star-Ledger is reporting that Ross did not have any concussion symptoms yesterday and it is not clear if Ross even suffered a concussion. The paper says Ross is expected to play against the Packers.

As for Ware, if he did suffer a concussion, it would be his second of the season and third of his career with the Giants. He is more likely to miss the game.

When asked if there were other injuries, Coughlin said, “Not that I would talk about today. You have a couple guys that are banged up but we will see how they are Wednesday.”
