Tiki Barber Wants to Return to the NFL, But Giants Say No Thanks: Former Giants’ halfback Tiki Barber, who retired from the NFL after the 2006 NFL season, announced yesterday that he would like to return to the NFL. If he does, it will not be with the New York Giants, who still own his football rights but not for long. As soon as there is a new Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), the Giants will officially part ways with Barber.

“We wish Tiki nothing but the best,” the Giants said in a statement yesterday. “When we are able to make the transaction, we will release him from our reserve/retired list.”

Barber turns 36 years old next month. He remains the Giants’ all-time leading rusher with 10,449 yards rushing and 55 rushing touchdowns. Barber is also second on the franchise’s reception list with 586 catches.

Keith Bulluck Says He Would Like to Return to the Giants: After last season ended, LB Keith Bulluck, who is currently not under contract, said he would like to return to the Giants only if he received more playing time.

Last week, Bulluck told The Tennessean that he would like to re-sign with the Giants. “I’d love to be back with the Giants,” said Bulluck, “because something that was started there could definitely be completed with maximum reward.”
