New York Giants Add Last Player to Practice Squad: The Giants filled out their 8-man Practice Squad yesterday by signing HB Charles Scott. Scott was drafted in the 6th round of the 2010 NFL Draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles traded Scott to the Arizona Cardinals during training camp.

September 6, 2010 New York Giants Injury Report: Not practicing yesterday were CB Corey Webster (groin), CB Aaron Ross (foot), LB Gerris Wilkinson (groin), and LB Phillip Dillard (hamstring).

“Got to have (Webster) back come Wednesday,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin.

“(Ross is) getting better,” said Coughlin. “The reports are good. They have some things they have to try and work out with him, in terms of his comfort level with the shoe. He’s getting there.”

H-Back Travis Beckum (neck), OC Shaun O’Hara (ankle/Achilles), DT Chris Canty (groin), and LB Chase Blackburn (knee) returned to practice.

The bad news on O’Hara is that his ankle/Achilles issue will be something that nags him all season. “I think we’re going to have to monitor it, and it’s definitely going to be one of those things that, if it does act up, what are we going to do during the week to try and take care of it,” said O’Hara. “It’s not going to be something that is miraculously going to be gone. I’m sure playing in a game, we’ll really be able to see how it’ll respond after a game. If that’s what we have to do, I think I know the offense pretty well and if I have to rest it a little bit, I think I’m comfortable doing that.”

“(O’Hara) worked today,” said Coughlin. “We’ll see what he’s like tomorrow.”

Notes: Head Coach Tom Coughlin said recently-acquired returner Darius Reynaud will work with the wide receivers. Reynaud’s previous team, the Minnesota Vikings, had moved Reynaud to halfback.

Reynaud’s jersey number is 15; QB Sage Rosenfels is #18.

WR Victor Cruz will now wear #80.
