New York Giants Sign Scott Chandler?: The Star-Ledger is reporting that the Giants have signed TE Scott Chandler off of the Practice Squad of the Dallas Cowboys. The move has not been confirmed and there is no word on what other transaction the Giants made in order to make room for Chandler on the Giants’ 53-man roster.

The Giants currently have four other tight ends on the roster: Kevin Boss, Darcy Johnson, Travis Beckum, and Bear Pascoe.

Chandler was drafted in the 4th round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the San Diego  Chargers. The Chargers released Chandler in April and then the Cowboys signed him.

Injury Report: Head Coach Tom Coughlin did not provide an update yesterday on any of the injured Giants. WR Hakeem Nicks (hamstring) and LG Rich Seubert (knee) were hurt in the game against the Redskins. CB Corey Webster (knee), CB/S Aaron Ross (hamstring), and RT Kareem McKenzie (knee) were inactive for the game.

Notes: The Giants have clinched their fifth consecutive non-losing season, the first time they’ve done that since they had a streak of 10 in a row from 1954-63.

The 45 points scored by the Giants is the team’s highest point total on the road since 1954, when the Giants beat the Redskins 51-21 in Washington.
