New York Giants Playoff Hopes Fading: Based on this past weekend’s NFL game results, the playoff hopes for the 2009 New York Giants are fading. The 7-6 Giants can no longer win the NFC East, but still have an opportunity to earn a Wild Card spot. However, the Giants do not control their own destiny. In order to make the playoffs:

  • The Giants must win all three of their remaining games and hope that the Cowboys or Packers lose one of their final two games.

or

  • The Giants must win two of their last three games and hope that the Cowboys or Packers lose both of their last two games.

The Cowboys still play the Redskins and Eagles; the Packers play the Seahawks and Cardinals.

Basically, if the Giants do not win tonight, it’s all but over.

Webster and McKenzie Will Not Play Tonight: CB Corey Webster (knee) and RT Kareem McKenzie (knee) will not play tonight against the Washington Redskins. Neither made the trip to Maryland.
