September 11, 2009 New York Giants Injury Report: CB Aaron Ross (hamstring), CB Kevin Dockery (hamstring), LB Clint Sintim (groin), and OC Adam Koets (ankle) did not practice again yesterday.

If Dockery doesn’t play, the Giants will only have three cornerbacks and three safeties available to play on Sunday against the Redskins. One of the three available corners would be undrafted rookie free agent Bruce Johnson.

When asked about Dockery’s availability for the game on Sunday, Head Coach Tom Coughlin responded, “We will see, we will see…We are going to list him as questionable…I didn’t expect him to work (on Friday), but I expected to see some progress and I did.”

Dockery said yesterday that the hamstring has been nagging him for several weeks and it got worse earlier this week. But he still hopes to play on Sunday. “(Feeling) better definitely gives me hope for Sunday,” Dockery said. “I’ve got 48 hours to rest it. We’ll see how it feels Sunday morning…We definitely have to be smart about it. It is the first game of many. But every game is important. New England went 11-5 last year and didn’t make the playoffs. If I can go out there and do my part oo help the team get a ‘W’ then I’ll be sure to do that. At the same time I don’t want to play this game and miss the next four or five weeks.”

Ross has been officially ruled out of the game. Sintim and Koets are officially “doubtful.”
