September 10, 2009 New York Giants Injury Report: CB Aaron Ross (hamstring), CB Kevin Dockery (hamstring), LB Clint Sintim (groin), and OC Adam Koets (ankle) did not practice again yesterday.

According to Newsday, last week, Ross had the same platelet-rich plasma therapy that DT Chris Canty had performed on his hamstring. But it does not sound like Ross will play on Sunday. “No, I don’t think so,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “Not after today.”

Coughlin was also a bit more negative regarding Dockery than he was on Wednesday. “They are still holding out that he is going to make it,” said Coughlin. “He goes through a jog thru. He has got some issues but he moved better (on Thursday) than he did (on Wednesday).”

Notes and Quotes: QB Eli Manning (offense), MLB Antonio Pierce (defense), and P Jeff Feagles (special teams) were unanimously voted team captains yesterday by their teammates. This is the third consecutive season that these three players have been elected captains.

Though not confirmed by Head Coach Tom Coughlin, it appears Chase Blackburn will start at weakside linebacker against the Washington Redskins.

Offensive Coordinator Kevin Gilbride on the wide receiving corps: “Some things have clarified themselves. Some things are still definitely ongoing. And quite candidly, I think some guys are in a position they will probably play more this Sunday but as the year goes on maybe other guys will become more and more an integral part of what we are doing. At least, that’s kind of what I think is going to happen. But we will go by performance. That’s it, who can go do it. And again, I honestly genuinely believe they can do it, but we are going to wait who – who on game day plays better than what they do in practice.”
