August 29, 2008 New York Giants Injury Update: WR Domenik Hixon (back spasms), LT Guy Whimper (foot), OC Digger Bujnoch (knee), and DE Dave Tollefson (stinger) were all injured in Thursday’s game against the Patriots.

“Bujnoch is having the MRI,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “He is at the hospital right now.  Hixon had muscle spasms, as you know.  Hopefully we can quiet that down so that he can be in position to work on Sunday…(Whimper) is in the same boat.  He is at the MRI right now.  Evidently he is still over at the hospital because I have not heard.”

“I think (Tollefson) will be fine,” said Coughlin.

LB Antonio Pierce, who missed the game and a number of practices with a back injury, says he will be ready this week.  “I am good.  I am 100 percent, ready to go,” said Pierce.  I will be on the practice field on Sunday preparing to beat the Redskins.”

When asked about PK Lawrence Tynes, who has missed the past two games, Head Coach Tom Coughlin said, “He obviously has not had the green light yet.”
