CB Brian Kelly Leaves Without a Contract:  As previously reported, unrestricted free agent CB Brian Kelly (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) visited the Giants yesterday.  However, Kelly left the team without a contract.  The Daily News‘ Giants blog is reporting that an unidentified NFL source says Kelly is unlikely to join the Giants.

Trade Talks for CB DeAngelo Hall Still on Hold:  The Star-Ledger is reporting that the Giants’ trade talks with the Atlanta Falcons for CB DeAngelo Hall continue to be on hold due to Hall’s salary demands.  Hall’s current contract expires after the 2009 season.  If Hall were to reduce his demands, The Ledger speculates that Hall could be traded to the Giants before the Draft in late April.

Giants’ Strength Training and Conditioning Program Starts This Month:  The Giants’ strength training and conditioning program begins on March 31.

QB Eli Manning is already back at work.  “I took my time off,” said Manning.  “I think it’s important to get away from it all.  I’ve done that. I took vacation.  But I’m back up here and I’ve started my workouts.  I’m trying to keep my same schedule.”

DT William Joseph Draws Interest from the Browns and Dolphins:  Unrestricted free agent DT William Joseph, who had his contract terminated by the Giants earlier this month, has received interest from the Cleveland Browns and Miami Dolphins.

Punter Sean Landeta Retires:  Punter Sean Landeta, who played for the Giants from 1985 to 1992, officially retired yesterday after 25 years of professional football.  “The Giants organization is where I spent the most of my time as a professional,” said Landeta.  “Their ownership, front office and fans were so instrumental in many of the great things that happened to me then, and even to this day.  To be part of two Super Bowl winning teams with a franchise that has their history is very special to me.  I will always appreciate everything the Giant franchise and their fans have done for me in the past, and as I stated earlier, I still do to this day.”
