November 8, 2007 New York Giants Injury Report – Plaxico Back on the Sidelines:  WR Plaxico Burress (ankle) returned to the sideline yesterday and did not practice.  “He did a good job (on Wednesday), what he was able to do,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin.  “He didn’t work (on Thursday) and we didn’t expect him to…He is a little bit sore but that was to be expected.”

HB Derrick Ward (ankle/groin) and WR Steve Smith (shoulder/hamstring) did not practice. “(Ward and Smith) are (improving)”, said Coughlin.  “I would say getting better, but I don’t think they are any closer.”

Quotes: CB Sam Madison on LB Mathias Kiwanuka:  “Kiwi’s a totally different player than he was in that first week. He’s opened up his vision a lot…He’s been in there long enough to see and know what’s going on and how people are trying to attack him.”

TE Jeremy Shockey on Cowboys’ TE Jason Witten:  “He’s a great player, I’m not really competing him against me, the race is against myself, not against anyone else. It’s not about me, it’s about the whole team. I’m going to say all the right things in this interview. My time, everyone’s time will come, you’ll have a time to make a play in the game and when your number’s called you got to be accountable and make it.”
