Tennessee Titans Still Interested in Jerry Reese: Today’s Daily News is reporting that Giants’ Director of Player Personnel Jerry Reese is one of the potential candidates to become the new general manager of the Tennessee Titans. The New York Post had reported the same thing in early December.

The Daily News says the Titans have not yet asked the Giants for permission to interview Reese, but are expected to do so soon. The paper reports that the Titans would be first eligible to interview Reese next week, even if the Giants are still in the playoffs.

Reese was a candidate to become the general manager of the Buccaneers in 2003 and the Dolphins in 2004.

The Giants have already interviewed Jerry Reese for their soon-to-be-vacant general manager position, with Ernie Accorsi retiring. The Giants also have interviewed Giants’ Vice President of Player Evaluation Chris Mara, Giants’ Assistant General Manager Kevin Abrams, Giants’ Director of Pro Personnel David Gettleman, and ex-Redskins’ and ex-Texans’ General Manager Charlie Casserly. There has also been much speculation that there may be interest in Patriots’ Vice President of Player Personnel Scott Pioli.

The Daily News also reports that Floyd Reese, who resigned as the general manager of the Tennessee Titans on Friday, is interested in the Giants’ general manager vacancy. But the paper says Floyd Reese is not believed to be a serious candidate for the Giants’ position.

Oakland Raiders Interested in Tom Coughlin?: ESPN reported yesterday that the Oakland Raiders may be interested in hiring Head Coach Tom Coughlin if Coughlin is fired by the Giants after their season is over.
