January 4, 2007 New York Giants Injury Report: TE Jeremy Shockey (ankle – questionable) returned to practice yesterday. OG/OC Rich Seubert (shin – questionable) practiced for the second day in a row. “Rich practiced yesterday and today and he seemed to come back today pretty strong,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “He didn’t miss any snaps. Jeremy, we worked in as best we could. And he did well with the opportunities that he had and hopefully tomorrow will be even more progress…The plan is to work (Shockey), as he’s coming back, a certain amount just to make sure that he can progress the next day. I don’t want any setbacks.”

Quotes: Eagles’ CB Sheldon Brown on QB Eli Manning: “I think they’re giving that guy a hard time. When he gets hot, he can be pretty darned good. But teams get pressure on him. When you’re able to get pressure on him, I don’t know too many quarterbacks that do well under pressure. I just don’t think it’s him…I don’t know if you can blame it on backs, linemen. I don’t know personally in depth what their problem is, but he does throw off his back foot a lot. He doesn’t step into throws. The throws I see him step into, he makes them. The throws that he throws off his back foot, it’s a harder throw.”
