November 3, 2006 New York Giants Injury Report –– Burress May Not Play: WR Plaxico Burress (back spasms) did not practice again yesterday and has been downgraded to “questionable” for the game against the Texans on Sunday. “Backs are difficult,” said Head Coach Tom Coughlin. “It’s hard to predict what’s going to happen with a back. I think (on Thursday) he felt pretty good. He went ahead and tried to work and he just wasn’t able to do it…We’ll see exactly where he is (on Sunday). I’m sure it will be a game-time decision. If he’s ready to go, then I’m confident that he can go and help us win.”

“We’re going to miss (Burress),” said WR Amani Toomer. “But we’re going to have to find a way to win the game. These are the type of games that at the end of the year, if you let this one go, you’ll be upset about it.”

Also not practicing were CB Sam Madison (hamstring), LB Brandon Short (quad), DE Osi Umenyiora (hip flexor), DE Justin Tuck (foot), and WR Sinorice Moss (quad). Moss and Tuck remain “doubtful” for the game against the Texans; Madison, Short, and Umenyiora are “questionable.”

WR David Tyree (ankle) did return to practice and was upgraded to “probable.” CB Frank Walker (hamstring) practiced all week and is “probable.”
